Wednesday, June 9 - 7:00pm - Masters Recital at Seabury Chapel, Evanston Rachel performs a recital featuring Souvenirs of Russia and Fantaisie Op. 40, by Fernando Sor, BWV 998 - Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro by Bach, and Cavatina by Tansman. Sunday, April 25 - 7:00pm - The Cellar, Evanston Come to The Cellar for an evening of live guitar music featuring the compelling rhythms and melodies from Latin and South America. Enjoy classics by the Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla, the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer and one of the most signicant Brazilian composers to date, Heitor Villa-Lobos. The Cellar is located at 820 Clark Street in Evanston, IL. March 31 - 7pm-9pm - Bacaro Rachel performs at Bacaro Wine Bar & Italian Restaurant. Bacaro is located at 113 N. Walnut Street in Champaign, IL. Saturday, February 20 - 7pm - Indi Go Rachel performs a selection of classical guitar favorites including works at Indi Go art gallery. Indi Go is located at 9 E. University in Champaign, IL. Saturday, February 6 - 7:30pm - Lutkin Hall, Northwestern University. Rachel performs with Northwestern University's guitar ensemble. Sunday, January 17 - 3pm - Lutkin Hall, Northwestern University Rachel performs with a baroque flute and string bass in a student chamber recital. The trio will perform a Bach's Flute Sonatas. Wednesday, December 23 - 7pm-9pm - Bacaro Rachel performs at Bacaro Wine Bar & Italian Restaurant. Bacaro is located at 113 N. Walnut Street in Champaign, IL. Tuesday, December 22 - 8pm - Indi Go Rachel performs at Indi Go art gallery. All donations will benefit the Swann special care center. Indi Go is located at 9 E. University in Champaign, IL. Tuesday, December 22 - 8am - WCIA Morning Show Rachel performs holiday selections on the WCIA Morning Show from 8am-9am. Friday, December 18 - Monday, December 21 - Mid-Winter's Tales Rachel performs in Shaw Chicago's production of Mid-Winter's Tales. Thursday, November 12 - Sunday, November 15 - Mass by Leonard Bernstein Rachel plays in the Rock & Blues band for Leonard Bernstein's Mass. Sunday, November 7 - 11am - Master Class with LAGQ at Northwestern University Rachel and fellow Northwestern students will play in Master Class for the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Sunday, August 23 - Monday, August 31 - Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano Rachel studies at the Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano in Gargnano, Italy under the guidance of Oscar Ghiglia and Elena Papandreou. Sunday, August 16 - Sunday, August 23 - 18th International Guitar Symposium Rachel studies at the 18th International Guitar Symposium in Iserlohn, Germany. There, she receives lessons from Johannes Tonio Kreusch, Celino Romero, Alvaro Pierri, and Hans-Werner Huppertz. Monday, July 6 - Saturday, August 1 - Accademia Musical Chigiana Rachel studies at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy under the guidance of Oscar Ghiglia. Friday, July 3 - 8am - WCIA Morning Show Rachel will be featured between clips of the WCIA Morning Show on Friday between 8am-9am. Thursday, July 2 - 12pm-1pm - WILL-FM 90.9 Rachel will perform live on WILL 90.9 FM Radio's "Live & Local" program. She will play excerpts of current repertoire and talk about her upcoming performances and travels. Wednesday, July 1 - Friday, July 3 - 7pm & 9pm - Indi Go Rachel will be appearing at Indi Go on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 7pm and 9pm. Each performance will be approximately 30 minutes in length and will feature works that will be performed at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy in late July. Thursday July 2nd, Ryan Groff of Elsinore will be a guest performer for both shows and will accompany Rachel vocally on additional song. Ryan has trained in classical voice performance. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass. Show is sponsored by Boltini, where big kids play!!! Donations are suggested.
